Edcom has conducted an interview with the English Department Student 2019 to do an internship program.  32 participants interviewed chose the press division. (9/23) "I choose the press division because I'm interested in journalism, I can edit photos and videos through Adobe Premiere. Besides,  I feel that my passion is in Press Division because I had participated in journalism training in the senior high school", Rara said. This interview was held for two days starting from 3 pm to 7.pm at building 1 FIB UNS. This was held to recruit new EDCOM members according to their ability in their passion. This interview also determines the appropriate division as their internship. This internship aimed to give English Department students an overview of EDCOM projects and also an indirect introduction to the division. The UNS Library will build a literacy park to utilize vacant land that is useful as a place to study and discuss all UNS residents. The construction of the literacy park, led by Burhanuddin Harahap, S.H., M.H., M.SI., Ph.D., has started on Tuesday, September 17, 2019, and he expected this park will be completed within 1.5 months. The literacy park construction received assistance from BNI CSR for about Rp. 261,025,000. The concept uses  Joglo as the icon and another five small gazebos use Limas as their concept. All UNS citizens are expected to be able to use and keep the literacy parks and also facilities. The government of the city of Surakarta builds a new petrol station in Pedaringan. It is such a good choice to build the project right there. The new petrol station located near two famous Universities in Solo Indonesian Institute of the Arts, Surakarta, and Sebelas Maret University. It was actually held 3 weeks earlier from the schedule, so the project started on 1st July 2019 and will be finished on 15th December 2019. The area of the new petrol station is about 3000 meters wide and it spent 10 billion rupiahs. Balai Rantai required around 300 employees with Mr. Thomas as the monitoring officer. "During the construction of this petrol station, I have not face any obstacle yet. There is only one obstacle. It is caused by some employees who do not come after had a great weekend. Monday is such a hard day." said Mr. Thomas when the reporter asked him about the obstacle while building this project.

One year ago, Solo Techno Park did an eviction in Kentingan due to land expansion in Solo Techno Park area.  Mrs. Sri Lestari, the boardinghouse guard, said that the settlement which was in Solo Techno Park area had been forcibly evicted. The people did not agree and did a rejection, but Solo Techno Park won for having the certificate because of the land owned by the city government. “They gave the people a few days to clear up their belongings and gave them some money. It is about three million rupiahs up to five million rupiahs. I had a small food stall there, but they just gave me Rp 750.000,00”, Mrs. Sri Lestari said. She added that Solo Techno Park area was so narrow due to people had built their houses in their area.
