Press Division Gets Many Devotees

Edcom has conducted an interview with the English Department Student 2019 to do an internship program.  32 participants interviewed chose the press division. (9/23)

"I choose the press division because I'm interested in journalism, I can edit photos and videos through Adobe Premiere. Besides,  I feel that my passion is in Press Division because I had participated in journalism training in the senior high school", Rara said.

This interview was held for two days starting from 3 pm to 7.pm at building 1 FIB UNS. This was held to recruit new EDCOM members according to their ability in their passion. This interview also determines the appropriate division as their internship.
This internship aimed to give English Department students an overview of EDCOM projects and also an indirect introduction to the division.

Ida Kusuma Dewi : Being Lecturer Is Not My Dream

Ida Kusuma Dewi was born on May 25, 1971, in Magetan. She said that being a lecturer was not her dream, but now she is the lecturer of the English Department, Faculty of Cultural Sciences Sebelas Maret University. To be a lecturer was her mother’s wish for her and it was not what she wanted. She loved teaching for children so much. She was a mentor of elementary school and she wanted to be a kindergarten teacher. Until her mother told her that she wanted Ida to become a lecturer. It was challenging for her because it was quite different between teaching for children and for adults. Ida finished her bachelor study program in 1997.
