Turning Trivial Things to Extraordinary Ones
“Whatever your hobby is, make it as your golden field as
early as possible, don’t delay until your old age", said Aristi.
Aristi Aminna is a student of Universitas Sebelas Maret , faculty
of teacher training and education and majoring in history of education. She
likes reading English novels or comics, writing articles, and watching movies.
However, her hobby takes her a bit far from her major but this makes her
interested more in English, in addition to her study in history. She used to be
a tutor for students.
She admitted that her English was very bad. She realized
that while reading a few words on the shampoo package that used English and She
did not know what was meant. Finally, she decided to learn English seriously
with things related to her hobbies such as reading her favorite comics or
writing articles, poems and news that uses English until she loves English
itself.
"I fell in love with English, I always write all the
new vocabulary hundreds of times to stick in my brain, besides that, I also
write the tenses for a hundred times every day each tense and I think it is not
a burden for me but a pleasure for me", said Aristi.
Every day, Aristi always learns about how to deliver the
material correctly, precisely, and fun so, it will make the class more enjoyable.
The most difficult thing during teaching is when TOEFL class because she has to
learn very extra. Aristi also said that even teaching can improve and improve
our English skills.
Her interest in English and her experience of teaching drove
her to establish an English course in 2018. She called it Max Havelaar .
In the sixth month, Max Havelaar TOEFL has attached 89
students. Now, Aristi Aminna has two staff to help her.
"I am very happy. This is just beyond my expectations.
By establishing Max Havelaar I feel that
I do not waste my talent by using it to help others. Do what you like and do
with all your heart, because your hobby will bring sweetness to your
life." , said Aristi.
